Ready to burst!?!

Yep, it's almost time and boy am I ready!
Savannah has been a handy shelf for my little Noah who loves to be held and loved constantly. Noah loves poking at my belly and soon enough he will be shocked with what replaces the bulge!

We spent this weekend focusing on playing, relaxing and LOVING our last possible moments with JUST THE BOYS! They have brought so much laughter and joy to our house and we are excited to see how that will only grow as we add another member. Parker stayed up later with us last night, and we chatted about how he now will be a big brother to Noah AND Savannah. He is going to do such a great job.

This other picture is a picture of the boys and I... just after we found out we were expecting this summer. All my boys are so incredibly special to me and I am so pleased that Savannah gets to have such caring brothers and an amazing daddy. OK- I must go before I get too emotional! :)

Easter "buddies"

Here's our Easter buddies (not bunnies)! We have been talking about Easter for all of March because Parker accepted Christ on March 1st!!! So, this Easter, he had a TON of deep theological questions that we had no idea a 3 1/2 year old could comprehend. Thank goodness for the Resurrection Eggs and his little Children's Bible to help keep the Easter story in "Parker~lingo". So, our Easter preparations focused on the true meaning of Easter but it's amazing how Parker still remembered about the Easter "bunny". Kep woke him up at 6 a.m. (so we could go to our church's Sunrise Service out at Hatcher's Pass) and before his feet even hit the ground... "Daddy, did the Easter bunny come?" So, yes the bunny came while we were at church and hid some M&M eggs for our little buddies. They were so cute to watch... Parker found all his eggs and THEN ate some candy, while Noah found an egg, ate the candy, found an egg, ate the candy...!
My favorite Easter story involves opening the purple Resurrection Egg with the wine cup inside. (A little explanation first~ Parker has always called his own bottom, a "BODY" ~ don't know why!) So, when Kep started reading in Parker's Bible about the meaning of the cup and bread... right away, I knew this was going to end in laughter! "Jesus told us to take his BODY and eat it to remember Him". Parker had the strangest expression on his face and replied with "YUCK!" Both, Kep and I could not contain ourselves! We quickly explained that's why we call it our "bottom" and then got back to the meaning of the cup! :)
I can't help but include Parker's little video of him making the most precious and important announcement about his personal acceptance of Jesus into his heart on March 1, 2008. He is hard to understand, so here is a translation: "I asked God up in my heart, so I get to go to Heaven with all of YOU!" We are so thankful for his sweet little heart that now has God!

We're ready for Savannah

So, after a month (or maybe, longer!) of "nesting"... I think my "Before~Savannah To~Do" list is almost done! We transformed the uni~sex nursery to make it more suitable for our girl. I am so glad to be done with the green and yellow. I attempted to be crafty by making a futon cover, pillows and recovered our crib bumper pad all with matching material. Fortunately, my "sewing~expert" mom~in~law lives down the street! Now, I'm just waiting for my mom to come make the matching curtains. Her room is ready... we'll let you know when Savannah's ready to come see it! She's "due" to come April 12th.

First time blogging

I have loved reading my friends' blogs, so I decided to try one out for our family! I can't promise anything amazing or exciting but at least all our family and friends outside of Alaska can stay updated with our childrens' stories and pictures. And, now I can cross one more thing off my "To~Do" list. Yes, I am nesting!!! ;)
