Savannah's other birthday party!

Savannah had another birthday on her REAL birthday because she really wanted her buddy Owen to be there!  I didn't think Owen's dad would appreciate his li'l guy to be included in her "pink and purple butterfly sleepover in a camper"!!!  So Savannah planned the other party... she had Owen over for tacos and fun on the snow machine!  Perfect!
Savannah is now the VERY proud owner of a pink scooter whose wheels light UP!
And, she was pumped to turn 5 so she could join the Kroon Camelbak hiking crew, which she has been talking about getting all year!
What better way for a Kroon to celebrate her birthday but with a donut cake made from her new donut maker!?!

Woohoo!  We love that our little girly girl is also a tom~boy~ she knows how to have a good time outside!

Rubix Cube Master

The Easter bunny introduced our Puzzle Mania boy to a new type of puzzle... the Rubix cube.  He wasn't too sure about it at first but once Kep showed him how he can watch tuturial videos ONLINE~ Parker was game!  I was so excited to learn something new about my son... he is one determined dude! He spent many hours every day for 2 weeks trying to solve the Rubix!  This is what our couch looked like every morning before school!

And this is the Happy Rubix Cube Master!  When he figured it out he let out such a loud yell~ I came running out of my room thinking someone was hurt!  Ha~ there he was on his couch with the widest grin and a completed CUBE!
And of course his support crew wanted to be part of the excitement!
Well done son!

Savannah's first sleepover

Savannah is 5!  My lil girl is 5! Where did the time go?  Savannah was so excited to have her first official sleepover with girlfriends~ as is the tradition in our home when you turn 5!  On April 9th, we woke up to 6 inches of fresh snow and it continued to snow all day!  It was actually perfect because we had party prepping to do!!!  Kep and the boys got busy blowing up balloons while I turned them into these super easy butterflies!  Then, Savannah and I went out to our camper and decorated it with balloon butterflies and streamers!  Ha~ we thought that would be the coziest place to sleep and a great way to celebrate all the new snow! ;o)  And of course, the camper had to look girly for her first sleepover!
Three crazy 5 year old butterflies!  Momo was surprised to arrive and see that the butterfly quilt she had made Savannah as a babe... was the main decoration for her 5th birthday party!
Savannah Savannah~ I have trained my li'l girl right!  For as long as I can remember I have always requested a French Silk Pie for my birthday dessert... guess what, I have a little clone!  When Savannah turned one, I made individual little French Silk pies for her birthday party and I secretly hoped it would become her fav dessert too!  woohoo~ it worked!  I hope she always requests this pie as it takes very little time to make since their isn't much you can do to decorate it!  I love her different expressions in these next photos!

Parker was pleased to be trusted with the gigantic match and he may have a new job at each party from here on out!

Savannah enjoying her new donut maker and her color-changing Belle Barbie doll!  I thought it was cute that even Noah was interested in how Belle's dress could change color in ice water!
Here they go... girls with their blankies tromping out in the new snow to the camper!
Breeze missed the memo to smile in these 2 pictures but here they are cuddled together to watch the new Tinkerbell movie!  The camper sleepover was a success and so entertaining to listen to 3 excited little 5 year old girls!  We all stayed warm and had fun being adventurous Alaskan girls in our butterfly camper!  In the morning, we woke up to 4 more inches of snow~ CrAzInEsS!

hot tub fun in the snow!

Hot tubs in the winter are just so much fun!  Our neighbors left for Mexico for 2 weeks so they were super sweet to offer use of their hot tub to our crazy bunch.  Of course, Kep started daring each of them to run out onto the snow!  Noah made it out to the farthest tree but Savannah won the award for having the cutest smile while freezing her belly and legs!

Skiing at the base

A FUN day in the sun with friends at the military base's ski hill!  Their is only one chairlift so our boys loved having their ski freedom!!!

pierced ears!

My little girl will soon turn 5 so when she "wandomwy" asked me if she could have earrings, I had mixed feelings!  I couldn't believe my little girl was old enough but I also thought it would be a fun new way for her to accessorize!  She loves to: carry purses around town, pick out different necklaces for each outfit and recently she loves to sport her new turtle ring from Kona!  Kep didn't have a problem with it SO earrings seemed like the next addition for her morning routine!

On the morning of the Easter Tea; Savannah got all accessorized, I got her hair all into a pretty new due and she was out the door, excited for Tea time!  We were on our way to pickup Momo and I asked her if she would like to get her ears pierced since Momo would be with us.  I wasn't surprised when she replied with a "no thank you"! But, it's amazing what some chocolate goodies and a few more hours to wake up can do to a little girl's bravery!  After the Tea, Savannah was all excited to take Momo to WalMart, our valley's only piercing "salon"!

Usually, we like to prepare our kids for anything that could hurt them so that they gain trust in us as their parents.  But, this seemed like a different kind-of situation since my friends had told me their daughters weren't fazed by the piercing.  So, I didn't prepare Savannah for any sort of pain and boy was she sad afterwards.  This was not the experience I had expected it to be but fortunately the sad tears only lasted for 5 minutes and then she was totally excited that she now had purple butterfly earrings AND a purple butterfly necklace!
Aww Savannah!  I love her sweet little profile and I love that she is my sweet daughter!

Savannah and her "Aunt" Brittney!  I love the special bond these two have!  Ha~ Savannah isn't too sure of the big hat on Brittney!

And, I love these two shots that my good friend, Amanda took of Savannah and I at the tea!

snow machine skiing!

We had a blast having Kep home for Spring Break!  There was plenty of snow so he got the ancient snow machines out and running.  Then, he created a figure 8 in our "swamp" so the kids could ski behind the machines!  The wind was howling for most of Spring Break but fortunately our swamp is protected from all the wind!

Parker was pumped to be old enough to drive one of the machines when he wasn't skiing!

Noah also had a blast learning how to drive the Jag by the end of the week!
