5K with sissies

Last Saturday, 2 of my sisters and myself ran a 5K together! It was so fun to do this together and have my cute nieces, nephew and Bap/Nan there to cheer us on! The race started at 8am and I'm glad it did because it was even toasty warm at that hour

The crazy part was seeing my picture in the front of the "Daily Interlake's" sport section, the local newspaper! Ha~ I've never been in the newspaper and the one time I am... it's a dorky pic of myself as I am waving to our kiddos!

Montana= water fun!

We love the warm summer days in Montana because my dad built this perfect wading pool just down from his house. The grandkids spend countless hours COOLing off in it!

Savannah has such a lady~like pose!!! I love that my li'l girl enjoys sun~bathing... she sat on this chair for an hour!

And, Savannah has such a sweet figure! I don't know how she can fully stick out her belly and "bottom" at the same time... this is the reason she wears a bikini to show off her sweet belly!

Bacpacking at Summit Lake

My 3 boys love to "rough it" out in God's country! It's a good thing our boys can sleep anywhere and everywhere (unlike their sis!) because they got to go backpacking up in Hatcher's to test out Kep's new tent from his 30th bday.

Parker wakes up every morning totally excited for the day so here he is downing his chocolate milk and Hostess donuts while Noah is still snoozing away.

Ha~ Noah cracks me up, he's not much of a morning person!

There we go... back to his clowny self! The chocolate milk and donuts kicked in!

WoW! That is our most commonly used word while camping with Savannah. She can be the best li'l camper wandering around the campsite smiling from ear to ear just entertaining herself with nature. Or, she can be a basket case for any li'l non~apparent reason!!! At home, she sleeps so sound and has been known to sleep from 7pm til 10:30am on a regular basis! WOW! But, sleeping in a camper is a completely diff story for this li'l girl. We don't quite understand what could change her sleeping patterns besides that maybe this li'l princess CAN feel the "pea" underneath the playpen mattress! Savannah we love you but "WoW"... you are a funny li'l camper!

She finally gives up and falls asleep sitting UP! This was a after 2 days of no naps, listening to her scream for a lot of the night and most of the day! Sigh!

Savannah is our clutsy one BUT she is also our brave one... she'll let us take care of her "owies" without freaking out and who wouldn't if they were handed a marshmallow!!??!!

Put all those stories aside... I love how my li'l girl is so caring. Noah was sad about getting sunblock smothered on his face so she sat down and started rubbing his back! CuTeNeSs!!!

OMGoodness... we were so blessed with INCREDIBLE weather the day we drove down to Kenai Lake. If the water had not been 30+ degrees, if there weren't gorgeous snow~topped mountains jetting out of that water and if we weren't sitting on pebbles... I could have imagined I was somewhere tropical because the water was crystal blue and it was almost 80 degrees!!! I love, love, LOVE Alaska on days like these...
