bday sledding
Happy Birthday to me! This was the best birthday ever! Kep surprised me and took the day off so then Parker wanted to stay home from school too! I had my whole family to enjoy on my birthday! We celebrated by going up to Hatchers and playing in 8" of fresh powder. We all had a blast being the only ones on the sledding hill since we were the only ones playing hooky!
Gpa and chess
Isn't this just the sweetest picture of Gpa and his grand boy!?! Our kids spend countless hours tossing the football in our front yard so this is where Kep and Gpa sat to watch them while I made Valentines' dinner.Parker is going to be a well~rounded boy! Ha. He loves to sign up for any and every activity/sport that is offered at Shaw. This winter he signed up for volleyball and chess! Ha! We still love having Gpa Hal over our weekly dinner date and games. This week, Parker asked Gpa to play chess. I thought it was so cute to look at our dining room table full of chess players. None of us enjoy playing chess but we'll play just for Parker!
surfer hair comes in handy!
Noah Noah! This boy has TONS of personality and the HAIR has been the finishing touch! His baby~soft blonde hair has been perfect for the surfer due. Today his hair came in super handy to cover up the biggest goose~egg I have ever seen.
In the middle of our errands, I asked the kids if they would like to stop at our local park and play tag. Of course they did! It was cold out, the park had fresh snow AND the sun was shining bright~ so pretty out! The 3 of us were having fun running around the park all by ourselves. It was my turn to be IT so I started chasing Noah. I was just starting to get out of breath when BOOM!!! Noah got clotheslined. Poor guy!!! He was running towards the sun and could not see this metal bar that was at forehead height. It literally sent him to the ground. Fortunately, there was snow to put on his forehead. The weird part was he wasn't freaking out. Usually, when my younger 2 get hurt… they cry or wail. This time Noah didn't cry but kept repeating "Mom, I hurt" over and over. So instead, I was freaking out! Thanks be to God~ he was fine.
This is Noah at dinner when we were telling dad and Parker about our crazy game of tag. And, this MONGO bump is what was hiding under that awesome surfer hair. CRAZY!
