Christmas break fun with friends

Our dear friends went to Maui for a week to watch their oldest daughter play in a basketball tourney. So we were all pumped to have their other 3 over for 2 nights. We crafted for most the day on Saturday with "String Art" which was a big hit for all the kids, especially Miss Crafty Claire. Then, we went over to Kep's parent's home and attempted to play ice hockey. The lake was incredibly slippery but that didn't stop the kids from making their own fun~ sledding on the ice and tackle football on the hillside! What a great start to our Christmas break and a fun time loving on 3 of the Smiths!

Hand and Foot & Finger Looming

Our kids LOVE to play games. Last year, we spent countless hours playing Farkle and Yahtzee. This year, all 3 kids have learned to shuffle because we play countless games of Hand and Foot! I love that they LOVE to play games. Savannah found a new way to hold her cards! Ha!

Thanksgiving mountain biking

The Kroon boys like to be adventurous on Thanksgiving morning before we spend the rest of the day chowing! This year, there wasn't any snow to ski on so they bundled up and went mountain biking in 6*! Brrr! Savannah and I stayed home to mash potatoes while watching the Macy's Day parade.

Noah turns 8!

Noah~ we love this boy. He is full of surprises. This birthday he surprised us by requesting shish kabobs for his birthday dinner followed by Coconut cake!

pumpkins and Trick or Treat

We had another fun night trick or treating with friends. Our kids were the random trio again! I found a "Rock "em Sock "em" robot costume for Noah to wear. Savannah wanted to wear her Cinderella dress and Parker was a Seahawks player AGAIN!

Fall basketball

All 3 kids could not wait to be signed up for Fall basketball. This season Kep coached all 3 kids' teams. I know, awesome dad of the year award goes to him! We spent a TON of time in the gyms but it was fun to do it together. They all improved and Kep loved coaching each of them.
Parker's team was undefeated this season and then they won the 3-4 Boys' tournament! The final game was so exciting!

cArIbOu!

Kep was born and raised in AK but had never gone on a BIG game hunt until this October. He was able to add another checkmark to his bucket list when his dad's good buddy, KT, offered to take Kep up the Denali Hwy! They were gone for 24 hours and came back with this pretty trophy. Kep was on cloud 9 and is hooked. The 3 of my boys hope to make this an annual October tradition.

Paved! woohoo!

We were all excited to get our driveway paved this September. When the pavers came, our kids were so cute! They lined up our dining room chairs by the window or stood on our front porch to watch til the very end. They have been shooting hoops ever since! And of course, once the asphalt was totally cured… out came the chalk! The first art on our driveway was a~ SEAHAWK!
