Mother/son TRI

Triathlons are so much more fun on a blue sky day!  Parker and I had a blast completing our 2nd Wasilla Why Not Tri!

The green machine ready to rock the bike course for the last year on his road bike made by Kep.  Next year, he will be way too tall and hopefully Noah will want to use it!  ha- funny story on Noah!  I was really hoping he would want to participate this year but when I asked him, he replied "Naw, I don't know why you do those things.  It doesn't sound fun."  OK then!

Nice work triathlete Parker!  You're awesome!

Eklutna campout with new friends

We had another beautiful campout at Eklutna.  This is one of our family's fav camping spots so it was fun to share it with our new friends.  All 7 kids had a blast playing in this freezing creek, stacking logs and
getting stuck in the silty muck!  I was just about to tell Noah not to walk with his flip flops in the mud but I was a moment too late...
thanks to dad's determination... the flip was rescued!

Parker spent the weekend tying knots!  Isaac taught him how to make survival bracelets and that was a hit for Parker!

Noah and Lucas loved sending the boats down the creek!

Lucas, Parker, Noah, Natalie, Isaac, Savannah + Naomi= entertaining camping!

hiking in snow in JUNE!

We were shocked to find this much snow in June up in Hatchers especially since we were all dressed in shorts!  oops!  We got very wet and muddy but another fun family hike!

Rosco was pumped to roll in the snow again.  He is an all-AKan dog!

last hurrah before the men go FiShInG!

Kenai Lake 2013

We love Kenai Lake and it's just where we go after Memorial Day.  I don't know how we get so fortunate to have such gorgeous weather but we don't take it for granted!  We love this place and so did Rosco!

Parker spends the majority of the time tooling around on the canoe.  I thought it was pretty cute to watch him give the younger 2 rides.
There she goes getting braver by riding with just one training wheel.

Oh, and here she has goes with ZERO training wheels!!!
YAY~ we are officially done with noisy training wheels.  The boys were so proud of their sis and pedaled at her speed!
Rosco loved all the time in the lake~ I couldn't believe he could swim in those frigid temps!

One of the best parts of our campout was having Uncle Teag along.  For our last meal we broke out the $1 aisle neckties to give Uncle Teag a good laugh.  He is one of the only young guys I know to wear a necktie so when I saw these silly little velcro neckties at Target~ I just had to buy them for our boys!
