frolfing~ we R fans!

Maci got engaged!!! woohoo!  Nathan and Maci came "home" this summer to visit for a couple days.  So, we made sure we got out to do something memorable!  We tried out "frolfing" or frisbee golfing for the first time and we had a blast.  Savannah and Noah were hilarious~ they were so pumped about this new activity for all 9 holes.  They had us all laughing hysterically!

Savannah~ our soccer chica

Savannah~ I love how our little girl has so much personality!  She is girley~girl but she loves a good hard game of soccer!  She looks forward to this all year and when soccer season comes she asks daily if she gets to play.  The cutest part about her out on the field is she plays in bursts.  She runs hard after the ball but isn't too proud to just stop and walk if she is too tired to get there!  haha!
Coach John~ Savannah loved everything about her coach!

and what's not to love about soccer when you get to play with one of your best little buddies!  These 2 have so much fun together!

hiking with the DuHads

We were all so excited to see our good friends, the DuHads.  The weather cooperated and we got to enjoy time in Hatcher Pass with their sweet family!

awww~ Savannah adores Kathryn and Regan and you can sure tell in this pic!

baby moose

We have a bit of swamp in the back of our property so we get to see a lot of wildlife come through... especially moose!  But, this summer was our first to see a brand new baby.  All of us had so much fun watching it!

1st Thunderbird Falls hike

The most dreaded day of the year is always June 26, the day we drop Kep off at the airport so he can commercial fish for 3 weeks.  Our family is so much more fun with dad around as he keeps life more light hearted and has a great perspective in almost every area!  So after we drop him off we always try to do something fun.  This year, we checked out Thunderbird Falls for the first time.  It was a short easy trek and we topped it off with ice cream cones!

1st family ride with no training wheels!

boating with Uncle Dan

more HOT= more BOATing!

Father's Day campout

The weather forecast called for 90 degrees (unheard of in AK) so we threw together an impromptu Father's Day campout with some of our fav friends.  Both our families got done with the Triathlon, rushed home to throw in all the necessary camping foods and then we drove up to Big Lake to camp with the rest of the valley!  It was busy and HOT!

Our kids played in the lake until almost midnight!!!  We kept pinching ourselves to see if this was a dream!  None of us had ever been in an AK lake in June at midnight!

On Father's Day, we woke up to super hot temps again so we spent the whole day on the lake... tubing, floating, laughing, skiing and soaking up the sun with friends!

Happy Father's Day dessert on a hot day... popsicles!  We love our dads!
