love, LOVE, lOvE... all the snow and the HUGE snowflakes we are getting this year!
it is especially great for making snow caves, tunnels and sweet jumps for snowboarding!
and these 3 could not be happier with all the snow we are blessed to play in!
although, these poor moose are not having such a grand time! This winter we drove up to a young moose lying down on top of a snow bank. As always, I slowed way down so the kids could get a close stare at the moose we thought might be resting... but NO... it had died! There was an elderly man walking up to it and he told us that many young and elderly moose will die this winter because the snow is just too deep and too hard on their bodies. Unfortunately, they don't have enough fat stored up to help them make it through the extra snowy winter. We were all totally surprised to see a dead moose lying in our neighborhood.
